San Diego Comic-Con may be over, but the annual all-things-Disney event is just around the corner. D23 (formerly known as D23 Expo) will be held in Anaheim, California on Friday, August 9th. Over the course of three days, there will be panels, booths, merchandise, and news about Disney, covering everything from Disney animation and live-action to Marvel. Star WarsDisney+, Pixar, Hulu, Fox, ESPN, etc.
Basically, there’s a ton of potential for all kinds of cool things to happen, and here are the 10 panels we think will be the most fun for pop culture lovers: (If you want to see the full schedule, which has way more entries than this, head to this link .)
Disney Entertainment Showcase
This is a big one. It will feature everything from the world of Disney entertainment. For those of you hoping for Marvel news, Star Wars News, Disney Animation news, streaming shows, movies, TV news, and more – it’s all on this panel.
When: August 9th, 7pm PST, Honda Center
Disney Experience Showcase
While many Disney fans love movies and TV, there are also plenty who love theme parks and cruises, and this panel is just for those people. If Disney is announcing new rides, new theme parks, and more, it will be announced on this panel.
When: August 10, 7pm PST, Honda Center
Disney Legends Awards Ceremony
The final of three mega-panels so big the convention has an actual area is Disney Legends, which is basically an awards ceremony where celebrities become “Disney Legends,” which on the surface isn’t all that exciting, but the list of people being honored sure is: John Williams, Harrison Ford, James Cameron, Jamie Lee Curtis, Miley Cyrus, James L. Brooks, Steve Ditko, and more.
When: August 11th, 5pm PST, Honda Center
Marvel Studios Music
Outside of the first two panels, there won’t be much big news coming out of D23 this year. Instead, there will be a ton of panels full of fun behind-the-scenes stories from some of your favorite movies, past and present, including this panel on the music in Marvel movies.

30 years Toy Story
first Toy Story It changed the world when it was released in 1995. And while it’s not yet 30 years ago, a star-studded panel of Pixar friends will be discussing this iconic film.

Production Goofy Movies: The Road to the Lake of Destiny
This is the type of panel that can only happen at D23, and it’ll be a deep dive into the 1995 film that has started to gain popularity online in recent years. Goofy MoviesPowerline fans, rise up.

Marvel Animation Preview
Another notable panel was this one centered around Marvel Animation. What if… X-Men ’97, new Spiderman show, Eye of Wakandaand many more that could be on the menu.

Marvel Comics: Celebrating Wolverine’s 50th Anniversary
Can you believe that the character Wolverine has been around for 50 years and is still going strong? In fact, this panel will take a behind-the-scenes look at the creation and history of this iconic character.

Pixar Win or lose? Watch Party
Pixar has been preparing its first Disney+ streaming show for years, and it looks like it’s finally ready to show it to Disney fans.

Designing the MCU: Visual Development at Marvel Studios
Once again, it’s one of those cool behind-the-scenes panels that pulls back the curtain on one of our favorite franchises: the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

There will also be a lot of other events, including a store full of exclusive merchandise and ILM will be introducing StageCraft, which will be The Mandalorian—There’ll be demonstrations, autograph sessions, sing-alongs, and more.
