I always I loved Star Wars. For as long as I can remember, the first day of Christmas was spent flying Luke and his X-wing around the house. I met Darth Vader (David Prowse) when I was six years old. I still remember my dad holding me up and trembling with fear as he strode through the double doors and tried to shake my hand from across the crowd. I never once wondered why the Dark Lord of the Sith was in Woolworths.
When I became a father, I had a new excuse to visit a galaxy far, far away and buy new toys. (I still regret selling my toys at a garage sale to raise funds for our first house.) My wife and I loved the original movies, and although my kids prefer the prequel trilogy, we all enjoyed watching the newest shows together. Everyone knows I’m a fan, so I’ve received (and given) a lot of Star Wars gifts over the years. These are some of my favorites.
