WIRED Special Sale

Technology

Nomad Base One Max

Photo: Nomad

The Nomad Base One Max is one of our favorite Apple 3-in-1 wireless chargers. This sale is for the first-gen version, which is nearly identical to the newer version we recommend. The only difference is that the newer version doesn’t have the Apple Watch fast charging feature. This model will still reliably charge your compatible iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch quickly, but it won’t charge as fast as it could. It’s a fair trade-off. This sale is part of Nomad’s overstock sale.

That matches the best price we’ve seen for the best robot vacuum, including past Cyber Monday and Black Friday sales. The Roborock Q5+ (9/10, WIRED Recommended) has everything you want in a robot vacuum. The model on sale has a removable mop pad, slightly better suction power, improved run time and dust bin size. It cleans floors quickly and efficiently with little human assistance.

Apple Watch Series 9

The Apple Watch Series 9 (7/10, WIRED Review) is the best smartwatch for iPhone owners. This deal represents one of the lowest prices we’ve tracked, and it has all the features you need, including fitness and sleep tracking, automatic fall detection, and quality of life enhancements like onboard Spotify control and a Siri-powered kitchen timer. For helpful accessory recommendations, check out our guides to the best Apple Watch accessories and the best 3-in-1 Apple chargers.

The Amazon Kindle Scribe (8/10, WIRED Recommended) is ridiculously expensive. But the price matches the lowest price we’ve seen it for once, and the bundle comes with a premium pen stylus and leather folio adapter. Considering the base model with a basic pen and less storage is $340, it’s a bargain. It’s the perfect Kindle for note-taking, and it’s still a great e-reader. But if you’re not sticking with the Scribe, you might want to wait until Prime Day in a few weeks. This is probably There are still sales on, and cheaper models may also be discounted.

Home and Outdoor Goods Deals

Bear Elite Hybrid Mattress

Enter your coupon code July 4th Get 35% off our favorite mattress for side sleepers. WIRED Commerce Director Martin Schismer has used this hybrid mattress time and time again. It’s not too soft or too firm, and it’s got just enough cushion and support to keep you cool all night long. This offer also comes with a free pillow, sheet set, and mattress protector.

Use the code July 30 In addition to this huge discount, you’ll also get two pillows for free. A 25% discount will be automatically applied to your cart, but you can save even more by using code JULY30, which matches the discounts we saw in our Memorial Day Sale. The Helix Midnight Luxe is our favorite mattress. You can choose from a variety of firmness levels depending on your sleeping preferences, and the hybrid mattress construction eliminates pressure points and that “sinking in” feeling you get with all-foam models.

Leesa’s Sapira Hybrid is another great mattress, and it’s rare to find it this cheap. It’s firm but not too firm, and it comes with different coil types to help contour to your body. You could also get the Leesa Sapira Chill for an extra $112, which is a great option for people who tend to get hot while sleeping, thanks to its heat-wicking fabric cover.

Buffy Breeze Sheet Set

We love these eucalyptus sheets – they’re light and airy, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. If you suffer from night sweats, these smooth, cooling sheets might just be what you need for a good night’s sleep.

This is my favorite comforter. I’ve had it for years and it’s durable. It’s made of eucalyptus, so it’s cool and breathable on hot summer nights. I’m the kind of person who can’t sleep without a blanket no matter how hot it is outside. This comforter has solved my sleeping problems. I don’t think I could live without it anymore.

Buffy Wiggle Pillow

This giant body pillow is shaped like a big, soft earthworm that you can curl up in, wrap around yourself, or use as extra support while you’re lounging watching TV. It’s also made from 55 plastic bottles.

REI is having a huge Fourth of July sale with great deals in every category, including camping kitchen supplies, cycling gear, and great packs. We’ll highlight a few individual deals in this article, but if you want to take a look for yourself, here’s the link:

We saw this fantastic deal on Memorial Day, but today the price is a dollar less than that. This is the best 2-person backpacking tent on the market. It’s durable and easy to set up, especially thanks to the symmetrical rainfly and interchangeable poles. It also comes with a footprint, which is unfortunately a rare find these days. The tent weighs just under 4 pounds when fully packed.

REI Co-Op Siesta Hooded 20 Sleeping Bag

Another match of the Memorial Day Sale is the fact that you can get a great deal on your favorite sleeping bag for car campers. It’s usually pretty affordable, but with this sale and this sleeping bag’s perfect summer combination, now is a smart time to buy. It’s warm, but won’t get too hot on summer nights. The two zippers and hood allow you to adjust the airflow to suit your desired temperature as you sleep.

The Zenbivy Bed 25 (9/10, WIRED Recommended) has me falling in love with camping again. Sleeping in a sleeping bag has always been a struggle, but the design of the quilt and sheets on this bedding means I can sleep comfortably, whether I’m tossing and turning like a goblin or tuck my feet out of the covers. As Scott Gilbertson says in his in-depth review, this system feels just like sleeping in your own bed at home.

Kelty makes some great outdoor blankets. The Bestie is soft, lightweight, and packs easily into the included stuff sack. Its dimensions are a little odd, measuring approximately 76 x 42 inches, meaning this polyester blanket is perfect for one person, or two petite people lying on the ground.

Rumple Original Puffy Recycled Blanket

Photo: Lumpur

Many WIRED Gear writers rave about Rumpl blankets. Prices vary by color and size, but there are plenty of great options available, most of which are on sale. The blanket is made from recycled 30-denier ripstop polyester, so it’s durable and lightweight. It’s also packable and comes with a stuff sack.

It’s rare to see your favorite office chair drop this much in price, and this model from Branch will suit almost anyone, with plenty of adjustments available, including seat depth, recline level, and armrest length. It’s also super easy to assemble, and can be used by anyone, no matter how tall (or tall) they are.

Though it’s marketed as a men’s pack, it worked fine for me (a short woman) on a three-week trip to five countries. Aside from a handbag, it was the only bag I brought with me, and almost six years later, I still use it regularly. It has stowable backpack straps, padded handles, and plenty of pockets. It’s comfortable and breathable to wear, and it even has padded compartments for your laptop, tablet, e-reader, and Nintendo Switch.

Solo Stove Bonfire 2.0 Fire Pit

Photo: Amazon

There have been some better discounts in the past, but if you’re in the market, this is the best fire pit we’ve tested. (And, to be clear, this is bad (It’s a bargain, but not the best we’ve seen.) At 19.5 inches wide and 15 inches tall, it’s portable enough to take to the beach or a friend’s house. If you don’t mind spending a little more, the set (on sale for $315) comes with essential accessories, like a lid. We recommend adding a lid if you plan on leaving your fire pit outside for extended periods of time.

Another great fire pit. The Solo Stove Yukon (7/10, WIRED review) is a large 27 inches wide, so it’s roomy enough for everyone to gather around and roast marshmallows. It’s also very durable. It’s not exactly portable because of its size, but you can carry it around with no problem. This set comes with a stand and a lid.

The FirePit+ is both a great fire pit and a fantastic portable grill. It has a rechargeable 10,400 mAh battery that lets you control the built-in air jets (and can even charge your phone in an emergency). You can also control the flame and airflow from your phone using Bluetooth. This price is within $15 of the highest price we tracked.

Health, Fitness & Apparel Deals

Photo: Rad Power Bikes

The RadRunner 2 is a well-balanced, affordable, practical bike. It’s sturdy and stable, but still quick to get around. The tires are small and wide, so it can easily ride over bumps, and the step-through frame won’t hold back shorter riders. There’s a reason these bikes are popular: Not only are they great on their own, but they also have room for all kinds of accessories (many of which are discounted right now).

TomboyX makes some of our favorite gender-neutral clothing. The brand’s inclusive sizes go up to 6X, and while we especially love their underwear and bras, you can also find great savings on their reversible swimwear, compression tops, and shorts.

I fell in love with this dress after seeing it advertised so often on TikTok. Unfortunately, I was skeptical at first, but I absolutely love it (I’m wearing it now). It’s cute, has built-in shorts (with pockets!!) and a built-in bra. Getting dressed has never been easier… well, sexier. I also tried on the Everyday Dress, which sells for the same price, and loved it.

Photo: Happy Planner

We love Happy Planner’s paper planners. They’re our top pick for weekly planners. Not only are they cute and fun to use, but they’re also intuitively designed, with space for to-do lists, schedules, and general life organization. In this sale, they’re selling not only the planners, but also extra items like stickers and washi tape.

This massive sale runs until July 11th at 10AM PST, and with so many games featured, it’s impossible to list them all. But if you’re a gamer with a wishlist, it’s worth checking out if any of these titles are discounted. We recommend checking them out. Unpackinga short and fun puzzle game that will probably make you cry?

The Beachwaver B1 (8/10, WIRED Recommended) has been a hot topic on TikTok, and WIRED reviewer Brenda Stolyar says it lives up to her expectations. Just clamp your hair, press the button, and the tool automatically wraps your hair around the wand. It’s beginner-friendly and lightweight, and it automatically shuts off when you’re done styling. It dropped to $49 on Black Friday, but that’s still a great deal.
