Let’s form a line
“Long live the Emperor!” bystanders yell at the beginning of the trailer for Star Trek: Section 31, as a young Philippa Georgiou emerges from a violent massacre to assume her leadership role. We then cut to the future, with Yeo back in the role of Emperor, and Omari Hardwick’s character reminding him of his actions as Emperor, telling him, “The past will always catch up with you.” Georgiou then joins Starfleet’s secret intelligence unit, Section 31, to the tune of Beyoncé’s “Formation.” From there, the trailer doesn’t reveal much about the actual storyline, but it’s packed with action.
