The witches are back in town
The difficult road
The first official trailer for “Agatha Always” sees Hahn’s Agatha exploring the woods, revisiting the events that led to her losing her powers and being trapped in the town of Westview. She eventually enters the morgue, where she examines the body of W. Maximoff, which may be a connection to the Multiverse of Madness. When Lock’s character helps her escape, he asks her to complete the witch’s test. But now that she is powerless, she must form a new coven to help them.
Additionally, the rest of the cast who will make up this new coven are shown, including Sasheer Zamata as Jennifer Kail, Ali Ang as Alice Wu Gulliver, Debra Jo Rupp as Sharon Davis, Patti LuPone as Lilia Cardell, and Aubrey Plaza as Rio Vidal. The character of Joe Locke has yet to be given an official name.
The rest of the trailer offers glimpses of some of the paths the witches must traverse on their journey, all of which they must complete without using magic, as well as numerous shots of past visions, possessions, and even what appears to be a winged demon.
The D23 audience was also treated to Hahn and the rest of the cast coming onstage to sing the song “Witches Road” live.
Agatha All Along will be one of three MCU shows releasing over the remainder of 2024, following Eyes of Wakanda and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, though no release date has been announced as of now.
“Agatha All Along” will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on September 18 in two episodes at a time, for a total of nine episodes.
