The AirPods Pro are my favorite earbuds from Apple. These small, activity-focused earbuds have six hours of battery life, are waterproof, and come with all of Apple’s latest audio features as the only AirPods with an H2 chip. At $249, they’re a significant increase from the third-generation AirPods. Still, for a prosumer like me, the best technology is worth the price.
Here are 6 underused tips and tricks for your AirPods Pro that you should definitely put to good use.

Personalized volume is only available on second-generation AirPods Pro. When you enable this feature, your audio volume will automatically adjust based on the noise around you — for example, the volume will increase when you walk near a noisy construction site and decrease as you move away.

4 Speech Recognition
Reduce volume when speech is detected
Pocket Lint
Speech Recognition is another audio-focused feature that is similar to personalized volume. It adjusts the volume based on your surroundings. The feature lowers the volume when a conversation is detected and increases the volume when the conversation ends. This is a handy feature that aims to eliminate the need to pause and resume audio when it is interrupted for a short conversation.
To enable Speech Recognition: Open setting > Please select Airpods Pro > Switch Speech Recognition Green.

5 Noise reduction
Reduces ambient noise
Pocket Lint
Loud Volume Reduction is a spinoff of Active Noise Cancellation. When loud noises are detected, your AirPods will generate sound waves to try to cancel out the noise. Loud Volume Reduction is a great feature to use when you’re walking because it helps you avoid being annoyed by loud noises without changing other aspects of your listening experience, like personalized volume does.

6 Ear tip fit test
Make sure you’re using the right ear tips
Pocket Lint
The second-generation AirPods Pro comes with four sizes of silicone ear tips: extra small, small, medium, and large. Personally, I didn’t like the first-generation AirPods Pro, which only had three larger sizes, because only the extra small fit my ears perfectly. If you’re not sure which size ear tip works best for your ears, Apple offers an Ear Tip Fit Test in iOS. Running this test will tell you whether the ear tip size for either ear creates a good seal.
implement Ear tip fit test: Open setting, please select Airpods ProScroll to and tap Ear tip fit testtap ContinuedTap playSeparate results are shown for each pod.
