Rising temperatures lead to increased use of air conditioners

When temperatures get too extreme, we rush to adjust our heating and cooling systems to stay comfortable. As severe weather becomes more frequent due to climate change, we also tinker with our thermostats more, which in turn causes a spike in daily carbon emissions and leads to more climate change. If we can’t break this vicious cycle, the problem will only get worse.
