Unlike NameDrop, there’s no magic action to touch your phone; you have to go into the Contacts app. On Pixels, you tap the account picture (top right), then Contact Settings, Your informationthree points, and ShareOn a Galaxy phone, tap Contacts at the top of the list, then tap ShareYou’ll then see Quick Share as an option and your Android device will be discovered.
Cross-platform sharing
(David Nield)
If you’re trying to use your iPhone with an Android phone, you’ll find that AirDrop doesn’t work on Android devices and Quick Share doesn’t work on iOS, meaning you’ll have to use one of the other sharing options available on your phone, and there are plenty of such options.
On iPhone, open the iOS Contacts app and tap your name at the top of your contacts list. Share contactsselect the contact card field you want to share (including phone number or address), and you’ll be presented with sharing options ranging from email to WhatsApp message to social media.
It’s similar on Android: Just go to the Share page on your contact card, as we explained above for Pixel and Galaxy phones, and next to the Quick Share option you’ll find iPhone-compatible sharing alternatives — you can choose text or email, for example, or Bluetooth (which should work on iPhones, so long as the iPhone owner has Bluetooth). bluetooth Open the page from your iPhone settings.
