Amazon Monitron, the Amazon Web Services (AWS) machine learning (ML) service for industrial equipment condition monitoring, will be unavailable to new customers on October 31, 2024. Existing Amazon Monitron customers will be able to purchase and use the device. Service as usual. We will continue to sell the device until July 2025, with a 5-year device warranty that includes service support. Although AWS continues to invest in improving the security, availability, and performance of Amazon Monitron, we have no plans to introduce new features to Amazon Monitron.
This post describes how customers can maintain access to Amazon Monitron after new customer acceptance ends, and provides alternatives to Amazon Monitron.
Maintaining access to Amazon Monitron
A customer is considered an existing customer if it commissions an Amazon Monitron sensor through a project at any point during the 30-day period ending October 31, 2024. To maintain access to the service after October 31, 2024, customers must create a project. Activate at least one sensor.
If you have questions or need assistance, please contact your account manager, solutions architect, or create a case from the AWS Management Console.
Order Amazon Monitron hardware
If you are an existing Amazon Business customer, use your existing Amazon Monitron device to whitelist your account. For existing Amazon.com retail customers, the Amazon Monitron team will provide specific ordering instructions upon individual request.
Amazon Monitron Alternatives
We encourage customers interested in alternative solutions for their condition monitoring needs to consider alternative solutions offered by AWS partners: Tactical Edge, IndustryAI, and Factory AI.
summary
After October 31, 2024, new customers will no longer have access to Amazon Monitron, but AWS offers a variety of partner solutions through the AWS Partner Network Finder. Customers should consider these options to understand what best suits their specific needs.
