You better hope Vaclav Smil is wrong about the world food system. If he’s right, the implication is that we’ll be bulldozing away what little remains of nature in order to put our favorite foods on our plates.
The message I received from his new book was How to Feed the World: A Fact-Based Guidedoes that mean the food system has to stay pretty much as it is, and will continue to be that way?
