Book now: You can pre-order the Google Fitbit Ace LTE Kids Smartwatch on Amazon starting May 29. It will be available on June 5, and pre-orders will get their smartwatch delivered on June 7.
Today, Fitbit announced the Google Fitbit Ace LTE, the first smartwatch and fitness tracker for kids, so parents and kids can enjoy the peace of mind of a smartphone — calls, messaging, location sharing — in one easy-to-manage wearable.
The Google Fitbit Ace LTE has a list price of $229.95 and is available for pre-order on Amazon. The smartwatch will officially launch on June 5th, but if you pre-order now it will arrive at your doorstep on June 7th.
The best smartwatch for every wrist
There are plenty of reasons why parents (and kids) are excited about the new smartwatch. For starters, it gives kids the freedom that comes with having a smartphone, but with more parent-approved restrictions. With the Google Fitbit Ace LTE, kids can call and message up to 20 people.
Another perk is Fitbit Arcade, which is packed with fun and educational games, but parents can use the School Time feature to set limits on their kids’ watches to prevent them from playing games during school hours, but still be able to contact them if needed.

It’s worth noting that to get all the features of the Google Fitbit Ace LTE, you’ll need to buy more than just the watch itself: users will also need a Fitbit Ace Pass data plan, which will cost $119.99 per year or $9.99 per month.
