Google Pixel 8a
$449 $499 Save $50
The combination of great design and construction, long-term software support, useful software features, and a powerful and reliable camera makes it a great choice for anyone who doesn’t want to spend more than $500 on a phone.
The search giant’s latest mid-range Android smartphone, the Google Pixel 8a, is now available to buy for $50 less than usual in a new sale that runs until July 25th.

The sale prices, $449 for the 128GB model and $509 for the 256GB model, are listed directly on Google’s hardware store, and the sale appears to be listed at brick-and-mortar stores like Best Buy and Target as well.
The benefit of buying Google’s Pixel 8a directly from the company or another retailer is that the phone arrives unlocked and ready to be set up with a suitable cellular provider. In addition to a dedicated built-in physical SIM card tray, you can set up the phone with an eSIM, making it easy to set up mobile data while traveling.
The Pixel 8a is a solid mid-ranger, but there are other Pixel phones coming soon.
Google released the Pixel 8a in May, priced at $499 for the base 128GB model and $559 for the 256GB version. The phone comes in Aloe, Bay, Porcelain, and Obsidian color options, which roughly translate to green, blue, white, and black, respectively.
The Pixel 8a continues that tradition of clean Android software, a pleasant and distinctive design language, and a computational photography system that exceeds expectations, and has been met with very positive reviews.
Of course, the smartphone industry is not keeping quiet, and Google’s upcoming Pixel 9 series of smartphones are set to launch on August 13. The tech giant has already teased its new hardware portfolio ahead of the official keynote date, with more details likely to be announced in the near future.
The new Pixel 9 series is definitely better than the existing Pixel 8a in terms of price and tech, but if you are willing to wait, there will almost certainly be more attractive sales and discounts on the “a” series after all eyes are on the latest Google device, which is due to be released soon.
