During a Warner Bros. adult animation-focused panel in Annecy, Adult Swim revealed that the DC Comics romantic comedy series has been renewed for a third season. The show is currently airing. The panel also announced several shows currently in development for Adult Swim, including an animated adaptation from Jillian Tamaki. Super Mutant Magical Academy with her Regular Show The series, created by creator JG Quintel, follows Marsha, a half-mutant, half-human high school student whose students each have unique powers that they must battle while in class and living the life of a normal teenager. X-Men, But magic becomes the larger central focus.
Speaking of adaptations, Adult Swim Get Jiro! A 2012 Vetigo comic by Joel Rose, the late Anthony Bourdain, Ale Garza, and Langdon Foss. Like the comic, the show is set in a near-future, post-apocalyptic Los Angeles, where chefs essentially function as the city’s generals and residents literally kill each other to taste their food. One day, a mysterious sushi chef named Jiro appears in town, plotting revenge.
