Imagine going to a rock concert and in between songs the lead singer gives news about a new theme park ride. That’s exactly what happened at D23 2024 on Saturday night. In front of a crowd of 12,000 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, Disney Experience Chairman Josh D’Amaro announced the next few years of Disney parks, cruises, and more. And when he announced something, there would be a song about it. Or sometimes the song would come first, and then the news. It was pretty long, about three hours in total, but don’t worry. Here are the highlights.

Villain Country
Perhaps the biggest news of all is that Orlando’s Magic Kingdom will soon be opening a massive area dedicated to villains, something fans have been waiting for. Find out more here.
a Monsters, Inc. Roller coasters. Oh, and the Land too.
Hollywood Studios in Orlando Monsters, Inc.the land will feature a ride that fans have dreamed about for over 20 years: a roller coaster based on the final episode of the first film. You can see the concept art above, but check out the details here.
Lion king Log Flume

Animatronic Walt Disney
This might be cool, or it might be creepy. Next year, Anaheim Disneyland will be introducing a new show about the life of Walt Disney, featuring an Audio-Animatronic character of Disney himself. Find out more here.
