Save $200: As of July 24, Prime members can purchase the 55-inch Amazon Fire TV Omni Series 4K TV for $349.99 (regular price $549.99), which is a 36% discount and $20 cheaper than the Prime Day price.
Prime Day 2024 is long over, but all of Amazon’s Fire TVs are still on sale for members only… with one exception. It’s cheaper.
As of July 24, the 55-inch Amazon Fire TV Omni Series 4K TV is on sale for $349.99, which is $200 less (36% off) than the regular price of $549.99. While this TV wasn’t technically the best deal ever, having been marked down to $299.99 on Black Friday last year, it’s the cheapest it’s been since then and is $20 better than this month’s Prime Day price. It also comes with a free six-month trial of MGM+, which is worth just over $40 on its own.
The best time to buy a TV: A guide to when to find great TV deals
Before you click “Add to Cart,” though, be aware of some important fine print. First, the deal is still exclusive to paid Prime members. (There’s an easy workaround for this: If you’re not already a Prime member, just sign up for a free 30-day trial.) And, depending on where you live, the TV might also be subject to a $14.99 “delivery to your door” fee. This fee applied to the two Chicago addresses I tried, but not to any in New York City.
If you incur this fee, consider waiting for a bigger discount to offset it, as Black Friday 2024 will likely see it return to its lowest price ever.

If you’re in need of a new TV anytime soon, know that Leah Stodart, Mashable’s senior shopping reporter and our resident TV deal expert, recommends Amazon’s Fire TV Omni series.

“I’m looking for a 4K TV on a budget, but not necessarily of “As our most basic 4K TV, Fire TV balances out Amazon’s Omni series of TVs nicely,” Stodart said. “They’re a bit brighter than the cheaper Insignia and Toshiba LED Fire TV models, and they’re the smoothest way to experience the popular Fire TV platform.” They also come with the built-in Alexa assistant for hands-free voice control and support for two-way video calling if you connect a compatible webcam.
To add Dolby Vision support, you’ll need to upgrade from the 55-inch model to the 65-inch or 75-inch models, both of which are discounted to $559.99 and $699.99 on Prime at the time of writing (26% and 33% off, respectively).
