A recent discovery at Australia’s Cloggs Cave reveals something surprising about humanity’s relationship with time. Archaeologists working with the Gunaikurunai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation discovered two ceremonial poles covered in animal fat and a very specific fire a few meters into the limestone cave. They found telltale signs of an ancient ritual: scars. This is the amazing part. The rod is 12,000 years old and was almost identical to the one used in rituals by local mullah mulun (sorcerers) in the late 19th century.
So that means they are Gunaikurunai tribe…
