The latest Apple Watch features the much talked about double-tap functionality, allowing you to access key controls with just a tap of your finger. It also has all the fitness tracking features you’d expect, including ECG and heart rate tracking, sleep and menstrual cycle tracking, and activity tracking with 12 different exercises. It also has fall and crash detection, which will automatically call emergency services if a problem is detected, which may come in handy for solo adventurers.
In his review, Mashable senior editor Stan Schroeder said that the Series 9 doesn’t offer much of an improvement over the Series 8, making this bargain a better buy for someone looking to buy their first smartwatch rather than upgrading from a previous Apple Watch model. But he likes the super-bright display with up to 2000 nits (perfect for checking your stats in the blazing summer sun) and the upgraded A15 Bionic-based S9 chipset with a 64-bit dual-core processor (which makes the watch 30% faster than the previous model).
