Birch
Birch is made by the same manufacturer as Helix, but the Birch line is more environmentally friendly and makes some of the best organic mattresses. Birch is offering a 25% off sale and two free pillows with any mattress purchase (enter code LDW25 at checkout). This is similar to the sales Birch had around the Fourth of July and Memorial Day, but it’s still a bargain. But if you’re looking for an even better deal, furniture store Raymour & Flannigan is also running a sale and is currently selling Birch’s Luxe Natural Mattress for $200 less than Birch. However, both also offer the more affordable Birch Natural for the same price.
avocado
Avocado makes our favorite organic mattresses, and they’re running a sale for Labor Day with deals of up to 20 percent off. The mattress we recommend is currently 15 percent off, but Avocado often has some kind of 10 percent discount going on, so that’s only $100 off the regular price. That’s a bit more of a deal than we usually find, and it’s in line with the prices you’ll see around other big events like Memorial Day.
Lisa
Leesa has been making great mattresses for years and consistently ranks in our top two mattress recommendations. The Leesa Sapira Hybrid has been ranked #2 for many years as a great overall mattress, especially for the price (and this was before the Labor Day sale), while the new Leesa Sapira Chill has recently catapulted itself into the top spot with its fantastic cooling cover. The sale hasn’t been great so far, but it does come with two free pillows.
Casper
Casper is a big name in the world of boxed mattresses. The brand recently revamped their entire mattress line, and Casper’s new base mattress, The One, is currently our favorite all-foam mattress. It’s already a very affordable mattress, but it’s on sale for an even smaller discount for Labor Day. Normally on sale for under $900, you can get it for just $800 right now.
More Labor Day Mattress Deals
These sales aren’t as amazing as the ones mentioned above, and are more of a bargain you’ll find throughout the year. Still, even if they aren’t the best discounts around, they’re still good prices to buy these mattresses at. As Labor Day approaches, we’ll update this guide with any changes that might make these sales better (or worse).

Brooklyn Bedding
I recently became a convert to plank mattresses after trying Brooklyn Bedding’s Plank Firm Natural Mattress. However, I love a few different firm mattresses from Brooklyn Bedding, all of which are on sale right now for 25% off with the code LABORDAY25. The code will be applied automatically when you add the mattress to your cart. This isn’t a great sale; these mattresses are usually on sale for prices like this. Still, I’d recommend buying one at this price.
Bear
Bear makes our favorite mattress for side sleepers, the Bear Elite. Bear is currently selling it for up to 35% off, but the $1,499 price isn’t a particularly attractive deal since that’s what we usually see it for. Still, we’d recommend buying it at this price rather than the sometimes-inflated higher price.
Purple
If you’re having trouble sleeping, start shopping. We think Purple makes the best cooling mattresses. Purple’s site has up to $500 off their Restore line, but the mattress we recommend is only $300 off. And we often see it on sale for $300 off. Still, this is a great mattress if you want to sleep cool at night.
