To see the Northern Lights, or Northern Lights, you usually have to travel to frigid climates in the far north, such as Norway or Iceland, but this year they could be seen in London, southern Europe, and even Mexico. Two big light shows were held in May and October. While October’s event was the result of a simple solar storm, scientists are puzzled about the storm that caused May’s aurora borealis.
“We are still very surprised at how far south we saw the aurora borealis.”
