Eureka E10 Review: Adorably Silly Robot Vacuum Cleaner

This is not it Best robot vacuum cleaner I’ve tested.

The Eureka E10 is quite affordable compared to other robot vacuums. The recommended price for the affordable option is $800, while the E10 is $600. You may think: So why buy a more expensive model? Why spend more money if you don’t have to?

Eureka is a bit stupid. I bump into so many things that I think I’m blindfolded, I tip the vacuum over to cut the brush bristles, and my toddler gets interested and pushes the vacuum around too much. I forget. Please erase from memory where it is and the map of my home. It’s endearingly stupid when you can’t figure out how to get around your husband’s office chair, and infuriatingly stupid when you get stuck on the same part of the rug-to-carpet transition five times in a row.

Not a bad vacuum. If you find it on sale and want to use it primarily for carpet cleaning, you’ll probably be happy with it. I was very satisfied with the way the carpet was vacuumed. However, the mopping and built-in smart features leave a lot to be desired.

B level cleaning

E10 is just a B student trying to survive in this world, at least when it comes to vacuuming carpets.

I was quite satisfied with the E10 vacuum cleaner. I was left with a satisfying vacuum line and a fluffy carpet that screamed “freshly cleaned!” However, he wasn’t very good at removing all the cat litter from the floor and tended to collect a bit of litter under himself when he returned to base. Still, the vacuuming experience wasn’t much different from what I had with the much more expensive Dreame X30 Ultra (7/10, WIRED review). The E10 was much quieter than the Dream while running around the house.

The difference lies in the job of mopping. Most modern robot vacuum mops are equipped with rotating scrubbers, refillable water tanks, or self-cleaning tools. The E10 has the same system as old robot mops that pours water into a water bottle in a vacuum above a single mop pad. The vacuum cleaner then drags a lightly damp pad around the house and mops the house.
