Should we take at face value scientific papers that suggest your face is the result of a “process of self-fulfilling prophecy”?
The study, “Do Names Shape Facial Appearance?”, claims to “explore the origins” of the so-called “either-or-not question”: do parents choose names that they believe fit their infants’ “natural facial features,” or do children’s facial appearances reshape as they grow up to fit the stereotype of people with that birth name?
Has Natalie always looked like Natalie? Or maybe her name just drove her to always be Natalie…
