Hawk Tua Girl was hesitant about her sudden overnight fame, but that may be starting to change now that the money is rolling in. The viral star, real name Haley Welch, is reportedly starting to make a tidy income from merchandise sales.
Rolling Stone We reached out to Fathead Threads, a Tennessee clothing brand that works with Welch to sell shirts and hats. Fathead’s Jason Poteet said: Rolling Stone About 2,000 hats have already been sold, and a quick calculation puts the revenue at about $65,000. Welch will reportedly receive an undisclosed percentage of each sale, so it’s no surprise she’s making a pretty penny from this merchandise.

She replied in a very funny way, “Oh, I need to break that hawk’s antlers. Tua“And then spit on it! Get it?” This has since become a huge meme and clip on TikTok, X and just about every other social media platform.

But going viral doesn’t necessarily guarantee revenue, and with that in mind, Poteat wanted to help Welch, who hasn’t given an interview since the video went viral, monetize the moment.
