How to clean your Google Pixel Buds

Be sure to clean not only the earphones themselves, but also the charging case that holds the earphones.

Before you actually start cleaning your earphones, there are a few things you should avoid: Do not use any chemical sprays, wipes or cleaning products as these can damage the material and seals and are not worth the risk.

Also, make sure the charging case is not plugged in while cleaning to avoid draining power during cleaning.

Clean your Pixel Buds charging case

Let’s start with the latter by removing the earbuds from the Pixel Buds charging case.

1. Wipe the outside of your Pixel Buds charging case with a lint-free cloth.
2. If necessary, slightly dampen the cloth with clean water and wipe away any dirt or stains.
3. Use a cloth or cotton swab to clean the inside, being careful to scrape off any foreign debris.
4. To ensure optimal charging, make sure the charging contacts are clean.
5. Do not use any water when cleaning the inside of the case.

This will help keep your Pixel Buds case clean.

Clean your Pixel Buds

Moving on to earphones, pretty much the same tips apply.

1. Remove the ear tips from your Pixel Buds (you can wipe them with a cloth and water after removing them).
2. Clean the earphones with a lint-free cloth.
3. Be sure to clean the ear tips and mesh areas carefully, as these have the greatest impact on sound quality.
4. When you’re done, simply reattach the ear tips with clean, dry eartips and you’re done.

Now just place your cleaned earbuds back into their equally clean case and you’re ready to go.
