- Peloton users can get special offers on the Fitbit Charge 6 and Google Pixel Watch.
Peloton’s financial situation hasn’t been bright in recent years since high demand for its exercise equipment faded during the pandemic. Fitbit has had similar problems, with many features being removed since Google acquired the company in 2019. Now, the two companies are joining forces in a multi-year, multi-country partnership, Reuters reported.
“We’re excited to bring Peloton classes and world-class instructors to Fitbit users and continue to establish Peloton as a one-stop shop for all types of fitness content,” said Greg Hybl, senior vice president and general manager, Peloton for Business. “Together we share a commitment to making health and wellness more accessible and empower more people to achieve their fitness goals.”

More details on the Google Fitbit and Peloton partnership
Great news for Fitbit users, mediocre news for Peloton users
So what does this partnership actually mean? Firstly, Fitbit Premium members will have access to 10 Peloton classes, including strength training, Pilates, running, boxing, cycling and barre. Select Peloton classes will also be available to Fitbit users who don’t have a Premium account membership. These classes will be gradually added to the Fitbit app starting in September and will be available to users in the US, UK, Canada and Australia.
Peloton has a really wide library of classes to add to Fitbit’s own workout content library. This opens up a lot of possibilities for Fitbit users. Unfortunately, Peloton users can only take advantage of special offers on the Google Pixel Watch and Fitbit Charge 6 devices. Google and Peloton didn’t provide any further information on what those special offers are specifically. If you end up buying a device, you’ll have to pay for a Fitbit Premium subscription on top of that. Fitbit Premium members seem to get a much better deal with this partnership, and there’s a lot to look forward to in September.
