last year, io9 had the chance to ask Gallagher some questions. He was responsible for the artwork on the BioWare and LucasArts title, which has garnered a strong fanbase since its release in 2003. He stressed that his work was part of a team that came together to help create the game: “The design and art departments got together and started working on the big ideas. Star Wars “The designs never tire of it. It’s a very elegant and simple world in terms of shape, form, language and palette, but it’s also rich and deep and beautiful,” he said.

He told io9 that he didn’t realize how beloved the game was until some time after Knights of the Old Republic was released, and more recently, he said he’s still thrilled by the experience of working on the game: “I was blessed to be a part of this impossible scenario.
