Hands up, Anne Rice fans! Rock icon (and vampire) Lestat de Lioncourt stars in AMC teaser Interview with the Vampire Season 3 is an adaptation of Rice’s sequel novel Vampire Lestat.
This clip is movie During a panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Lestat (Sam Reid) is interviewed on camera by off-screen Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian), the same journalist who interviewed Lestat’s ex(?)lover Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) in seasons 1 and 2. Lestat behaves like the diva we all know and love: refusing hair and makeup, asking to have a goblet of blood taken away, commenting on the sound guy’s dehydration, and generally exuding cockiness and arrogance.
The all-too-brief teaser ends with a montage of Lestat laughing, crying, and giving menacing looks at the camera during various parts of the interview, soundtracked by Lestat’s own song, “Why the Long Face?” With no premiere date for Season 3 yet, it seems AMC may be asking us this question.
However, according to TV Insider, executive producer Lorin Jones mentioned a number of people who inspired Lestat’s music during the panel, including Chapel Roan, so while we wait for more information, here’s hoping for a Chapel cameo. movie Season 3.
