Electric cars EVs are all the rage right now. People generally prefer them because they’re greener, quieter, and often more fun to drive than gasoline-powered cars. But one sticking point in the EV revolution is charging. While there are more charging stations than ever before, there still aren’t enough of them. And depending on where they’re placed, driving long distances in an EV can feel like a bit of a gamble.
This week on Gadget Lab, WIRED staff writer Arian Marshall joins us to talk about the current state of EV charging, the feeling of “charging anxiety,” and whether people really should be all that worried about all the EV battery fires we’re seeing in the news.
