The race to discover new chemical elements will intensify in 2025, resulting in the heaviest element ever created and, if successful, adding a new column to the periodic table.
“Patience will be the biggest challenge,” said Jaclyn Gates of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) in California.
