I’m watching Supacell on Netflix, a superhero drama about five black South Londoners who suddenly develop supernatural powers – without revealing exactly why – that have something to do with their genes.
The creator of the series, Rapman (aka Andrew Onwuboru), was a fan of similar American dramas. heroSo did I, and I couldn’t resist watching this new show, which is also about ordinary people like nurse Sabrina (Nadine Mills, pictured above) facing extraordinary circumstances. My favorite is Andre (Eric Kofi Abrefa), who is tempted to abuse his superhuman powers to provide for his family.
