Nothing’s latest phone packs performance and battery life into a cute design.
The Nothing Phone 2a Plus will be launched in a metallic grey and black colourway and will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro 5G processor, 50MP main and ultra-wide cameras, and Nothing OS 2.6 running on top of Android 14.
Looking at the front of the new device, Nothing has equipped the 2a Plus with a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution. The company specifically noted the thin bezels, saying, “The Phone (2a) Plus has the thinnest bezels in Nothing’s smartphone lineup, measuring just 2.1mm symmetrically on all four sides of the screen.”

The unique combination of LED lights on the back of the phone gives the phone a distinct “nothing but” feel.

The distinctive glyph interface that’s now synonymous with the Nothing brand thankfully returns on the 2a Plus, and the back of the phone is adorned with LED lights that light up in different patterns for notifications and other system alerts.
With 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and priced at an MSRP of $399, the Nothing Phone 2a Plus looks like a strong contender in the mid-range smartphone space. While we need to test the device more thoroughly before drawing any conclusions, the 2a Plus looks like it could be a unique value proposition.
With no Phone 3 planned for 2025, the 2a Plus is likely to fill a market segment somewhere between the existing Phone 2a and the company’s higher-end products.
