If you’re reading this, you’re probably looking for a little help playing Strands. The New York Times‘ Advanced word search game.
In Strands, players must perform a twist on the classic word search. Words can be made from interlocking letters – up, down, left, right or diagonally – but words can also be rotated, resulting in strange shapes and patterns. Every letter in the grid becomes part of the answer. Every answer is always thematically related and has a “spangram”, a special word or phrase that sums up the day’s theme and covers the entire grid horizontally or vertically.
