If you’ve opened TikTok, Instagram, or X (formerly Twitter) even once this year, you know what the Costco Guy is. If you want to shop while eating a chicken bake or try the new double chunk chocolate cookie, you need to get a Costco membership. Luckily, for $60 a year, you can get a $20 digital shop card with any purchase.

What do you get with a Gold Membership?
With a Costco membership, you can shop at over 600 stores in the U.S. and over 800 locations worldwide. You can use your card at Costco business centers, travel, gas stations, hearing aid centers, optical stores, pharmacies, and of course, on the Costco website.
But the real magic happens in the warehouse, where you can find anything your heart desires. Laundry detergent? There is. Rotisserie chickens? Oh, there are. 80-inch 4K OLED TVs? Of course. Seven-person hot tubs? Yes. And after a long day of shopping, you can treat yourself to a $1 hot dog, a price so high that Costco’s founder told a CEO who wanted to raise prices, “If you raise the f**king hot dogs, I’ll kill you.”
Membership can be shared with everyone in your family. If your child just got their license and wants to drive, great! Get them to help you run errands. Maybe even entice them with some free samples.
I finally took the plunge and got a Costco membership after I left home years ago. Honestly, I don’t know how I ever lived without it. The only way to buy snacks is in bulk, which makes it much harder to eat an entire box of Goldfish in one sitting. That’s what I did.
Once you sign up, your $20 Costco card will be emailed to you directly by Costco within two weeks of successful redemption. The digital credit isn’t a one-time use, so you don’t have to spend the $20 all at once, but good luck spending it all. Not because Costco’s products are expensive, but because they have so many good items that it’s hard to stay in double figures every time you go.
Please note that this offer is only available to customers in the United States and Puerto Rico and is only valid for new members or those whose membership has been expired for 18 months or more.
