We love Patagonia The company was founded for a variety of reasons. The company was founded by Yvon Chouinard, the legendary dirtbag climber who ate cat food. The company supports families with an excellent on-site daycare. Famously, in 2022 Chouinard donated the company to a trust and nonprofit so that all proceeds will go to climate change action.
If these weren’t enough reasons to only wear Patagonia, their clothes are durable, eternally stylish, and built to last. To help your wallet, Patagonia is currently selling all of their past season styles for up to 40% off. Below, we’ve rounded up all the best deals on our favorite items. You’ll find everything from base layers to duffle bags. Discounts vary by size and color. For inspiration, check out our guides to the Best Luggage, Best Rain Jackets, and Best Base Layers.

This synthetic-filled hoodie is the most convenient jacket in the world, especially if you live on the West Coast. Many companies make similar jackets, but nothing currently comes close to the original, which is made from 100% recycled polyester. It’s lightweight, versatile, and packs down easily. It’s windproof and waterproof, so you can take it on a hike, layer it under a softshell or rain jacket, or wear it with jeans to brush off before heading out to the bars. Be aware, though, that while both the women’s and men’s versions are on sale, the discount only applies to certain colors.
The Micro Puff Hoody is our favorite lightweight, synthetic puffer jacket. It has a slim fit that can be worn under a shell jacket, but it’s warmer than the Nano Puff. It’s also rarely on sale. This discount only applies to the women’s Lagom Blue and men’s Nouveau Green colors.
Our guide to the best rain jackets: Torrentshell. This is Patagonia’s basic, no-nonsense 3-layer rain shell, now made from recycled fabrics and with a PFC-free DWR finish. Editor Adrienne So says she and her spouse have owned an older version of this jacket for nearly a decade. The sale applies to select colors in both women’s and men’s sizes.
The Capilene Cool Daily Shirt earned the title of Best Synthetic Top in our Best Winter Baselayers guide, and the Merino version received an honorable mention in our Best Climbing Gear guide. The 100% recycled polyester fabric feels luxuriously silky and fits snugly without feeling restrictive during intense workouts. We recommend buying multiple pieces, as you’ll definitely be rotating them. This sale applies to select colorways only. We also love the Capilene Cool Daily Graphic Shirt, which is on sale for $38 ($17 off) for both men and women.
Patagonia’s R1 Parka has a unique look thanks to its thin synthetic woven material that’s incredibly lightweight yet incredibly warm. It’s an iconic mid-layer for high-intensity aerobic outdoor activities. It’s breathable during intense exertion and keeps you warm when you stop. But at this price, it’s just as good as any thin travel layer. This sale only applies to select colors.
This sale applies to the Lagom Blue colorway. Like the Capilene Cool Daily Shirt, these midweight bottoms are made from polyester, which means they wick away sweat and have just enough stretch to keep you moving. The midweight fabric means they’re a bit thicker than lightweight shirts. Patagonia is also great about using fabric that’s 100% recycled.

This is one of our favorite fanny packs from our Best Fanny Packs guide. Editor Adrienne So uses it almost daily, whether she’s running or walking her dog or kids to school. When fastened, it fits snugly around your waist. It also easily expands to fit items like gloves, a hat, your phone, lip balm, or your wallet. The ultra-lightweight ripstop nylon has a 100% recycled durable water-repellent (DWR) finish. It also packs into a small pocket when traveling.
This is one of the options we recommend in our Best Luggage guide. It’s made from 100% recycled polyester with a TPU film and laminate. Editor Adrienne So has been using the 40-liter version for 15 years and the laminate hasn’t peeled off. It’s also suitable for airplane carry-on. It comes in a variety of colors and sizes, but currently only the 100-liter duffel model is available for sale in Matte Pimento Red.
