Reading has been hurting me for years. With the tablet holder,

I used the clamps because they easily hooked onto a thin wooden side table or metal bed frame, and neither had any paint or finishes that could be damaged by the clamps. Some people attach it to the headboard.

Perfect for reading next to the bed or sofa. The Lamicall isn’t very long, so I had to add a loop far enough away from my eyes for comfortable reading. Generally, I felt like there was enough room to place it perfectly within my preferred reading range. I was able to reduce the text size on my Kindle and have it right next to my face, or push it further in if I wanted. It hovered nicely above or near my head whether I was lying in bed or sitting on the couch while my son played nearby.

The base clamp is made of light plastic and is secured by the top of the screw above the clamp. I liked this better than the type that can be picked up by itself, especially since I have things in my house that are easy for little hands to grasp. The clasp on the Kindle itself is also made of light plastic, but still felt stable and secure. Additionally, you can rotate the top clamp to get the perfect angle.

The neck of the arm is the most resistant part of the arm. It takes a little effort to move and angle your arms, but that strength and resistance prevents your arms from falling forward or slipping out of place while you read. Despite the resistance, this Kindle holder is adjustable enough that you can move it in any direction you want.

To store it, you usually just push it out of the way from where it’s clamped against the wall. It can’t be folded or broken, so if you want to keep it out of sight when not in use, you’ll need a closet or a space long enough to store its 3-foot shape. It was a little strange to see it floating in the living room, but since I was using it as a bed stand, it didn’t get in the way, and I just pushed it against the wall when I was done using it.

Designed as a universal tablet holder, it’s large enough to hold tablets up to 11-inch iPad Pro. It can hold not only the Nintendo Switch but also other popular e-readers. (If only I had this in 2020!) It’s not the right dimensions to hold a bulky Steam deck by itself, but I’ve used it to stand up my Steam deck and take some weight off my hands and wrists, albeit unstable . It even floats like a Kindle or iPad. I could also put my smartphone on it, and it was equally comfortable to read with my Kindle or iPhone on the Lamicall stand.

Not completely hands-free

The stand will not fall off, but teeth It’s easy to jostle, and it’s not hands-free reading, at least not by itself.
