My husband I replaced my Vizio OLED with a Roku Pro Series QLED and turned it on, and we were both amazed. My two kids (ages 7 and 9) were also mesmerized when we turned it on. Steven Universe“Why so much? Better “Now?” asked the daughter.
The difference between OLED and QLED is clear (you can also read about it in our guide on how to buy a TV). OLED technology is beautiful, but good at showing true blacks. It’s best for watching movies and playing games in an optimized, dark, home-theater-like environment. QLED is just brighter. It makes a big difference when your 7- or 9-year-old is jumping around on the couch watching cartoons while you wait for dinner, or when you’re a mom trying to watch a bit of the Copa America with your dog on the couch while you work.
This is the first TV that Roku has manufactured in-house (Roku TVs made before last year were made by other companies and only had Roku brains inside). My colleague Parker Hall tested the entry-level Roku TV, the Plus Series, and was very impressed. For the past month or so, my family and I have been testing the upgraded Roku Pro Series, which we’ve also been very happy with.
easy to use
Specs and performance aside, one of the main reasons to buy a Roku is anything Ease of use is a big draw: I love the Vizio OLED, and if I wanted to play on my gaming PC, I was prepared to spend five minutes digging through the Vizio Smart interface and fiddling with cables every time I wanted to power it on.

I breathed a deep sigh of relief when I connected my Sonos soundbar, PS5, and gaming PC to the Roku TV and saw everything appear on the Roku interface (there are two HDMI 2.1 ports, HDMI eARC, USB-A, USB-C, and cable inputs).
you can Installation was easy, just place it on the console table using the two legs provided. Adding all the apps like Netflix, Disney+, Fubo, etc. takes about the same time as clicking the (Add Channel) button and signing into your computer. It basically doesn’t take any time unless you’ve forgotten your login information.
Having an interface that’s easy to navigate also makes it much easier to find what else to watch. The Vizio interface is cluttered and my kids quickly get distracted. Steven UniverseOn Roku, the CuriosityStream and PBS Kids tiles are easy to find, which has encouraged me to watch more educational content out of curiosity, which was a nice summer gift since all the kids in my neighborhood end up just watching TV in my air-conditioned home.
