Fans of Apple TV+ shows For All Mankind Earlier this year, the very good news came out: not only would the show be returning for a fifth season, but a spinoff series would also be coming. In a new interview with Collider, one of the show’s producers, Ronald D. Moore, went into more detail: “We’re in the writing stages of a spinoff series. Star City“I’m super excited,” Moore said, “that Apple got behind this whole concept and brought it to life and told the story from an astronaut’s perspective of how the Russians got to the moon first and what it was like to work on that program.”
Moore continues to explain the differences between the two stories. “I didn’t know much about the Russian space program before I started this project,” he says. “What they did was pretty daring. The spacecraft were not as reliable as ours. They lost a lot of good people. The conditions were tough. Also, the KGB was always in mission control, so the show deals with a lot of espionage and a Cold War-like environment. So, in terms of the story, it’s a familiar story to the audience.” Human raceThey know that the Soviets got there first, and that in our alternate history the Soviets had a powerful space program, but how I think it will be really interesting for viewers to see how that program worked and what it was like inside that program.”
