Simone Biles hasn’t forgotten about the haters who came her way in the aftermath of the U.S. women’s gymnastics team’s gold medal win at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The gymnastics GOAT posted an Instagram celebrating the win, specific Caption: Beneath a photo of her team celebrating a win, Biles wrote, “Not enough talent, not enough laziness, Olympic champions.”
This was a direct criticism of Biles’ former U.S. national team teammate, Mikayla Skinner.
Skinner criticized the team after its selection.
“Beyond Simone, I just don’t feel like there’s as much talent or depth as there used to be,” Skinner said in a YouTube video posted earlier this month but later deleted.

She added: “So I’ve noticed that obviously a lot of girls don’t work as hard. They don’t have the work ethic.”

“It’s hard when coaches can’t say anything because of SafeSport,” Skinner said. “They have to be very careful what they say. In some ways, that’s a really good thing, but at the same time, it feels like you have to be a little more aggressive and a little more enthusiastic to get to the level you want to be in gymnastics.”
Skinner later retracted her comments, but Biles clearly hadn’t forgotten what she said, and people were thrilled that she was so specific in her criticism.
