Snapchat has announced the next 15 participants for 523. Creator Accelerator Programaims to provide support and assistance to small, minority-owned businesses and creators who traditionally don’t have access to such resources.
Originally launched in 2022, Snap’s 523 program includes 12 months of support for selected participants, along with mentorship opportunities, partner education and in-app exposure.
And this year, Snap is expanding the reach of this initiative to broaden its reach.
According to Snap:
“As announced during Snapchat’s NewFronts presentation earlier this spring, our 2024 program will expand to include all underrepresented communities, including the LGBTQ+ community, and we’ve partnered with Ensemble, a branded entertainment company co-founded by award-winning actress, writer and producer Issa Rae, to empower this year’s class of storytellers while also providing brands the opportunity to collaborate directly with them.”
This is an important initiative that will provide additional support to those who need it most while also building Snapchat as an important vehicle for promoting and connecting with minority-owned brands.
Snap has also partnered with Clinique and AT&T to expand support and education, strengthening participants’ foundations for future success.
Selected creators will be featured in Snapchat’s Discovery section throughout the year.
