The research project that uses glass beads to reflect sunlight away from the North Pole has been canceled after suggesting that test results are threats to food chains.
The Arctic ice project has been used to use silica beads to increase the reflectance of young sea ice and maintain it through the Arctic summer summer.
Founded in 2007, a non -profit scheme based in California had previously developed glass beads on test sites.
