
Some researchers have proposed combating global warming by reflecting more sunlight into space

With global temperatures expected to rise by more than 1.5 degrees Celsius, researchers are investigating ways to potentially cool the planet by modifying the atmosphere and oceans. Further geoengineering research is planned for 2025, including projects aimed at making clouds reflect more sunlight and efforts to adjust ocean chemistry to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
