TikTok launches beauty creator support program

TikTok announces new initiative to support beauty creators within the app Estee Lauder I am part of a program called “The Catalysts,” which aims to find new voices in the field.

As the TikTok description states:

Scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 25th catalyst “Our goal is to discover the next big names in the beauty industry and shine a spotlight on a new generation of beauty innovators. With the help of TikTok and a global community of creators who applied, the program will provide mentorship, financial and marketing support, and expert advice on how to build and scale your beauty business.”

TikTok creators over the age of 21 are open to apply We are calling for ideas and business plans focused on makeup, skincare, bodycare, haircare and fragrance. Creators will then have to demonstrate their creative storytelling abilities through the app.

“Share a TikTok video explaining why you should win. Your vision of beauty, Use hashtags Check out #JointheCatalysts.

A team of industry experts will review the submissions and select the winners, who will each be presented with a prize. Their project will receive $250,000 plus TikTok advertising credits.

This is a great way for TikTok to further engage beauty creators by giving them an avenue to link to the industry with expert support from major companies and brands.

It will also help drive awareness of influential beauty creators within the app, giving brands access to key voices they want to connect with to grow their presence on TikTok.

While its future in the U.S. remains in question, TikTok remains an important platform for connecting with young people, and even if it is banned in the U.S., it will remain available elsewhere and its influence will remain significant.

So, in terms of finding new voices and maintaining a broader awareness of trends, this could be a good promotion for beauty marketers to look out for.
