When I was pregnant with my first child, I knew what to expect: bloating, morning sickness, maybe a little sciatica. I’d taken childbirth classes, I knew how to change a diaper, and I was fully prepared for rapid exhaustion.
But I was unprepared. I was missing crucial information: pregnancy can change brain structure and function, possibly irreversibly.
No doctor or midwife mentioned it, but over the years the evidence has been accumulating…
