Guinness World Records exist for just about anything you can think of, but it’s always interesting to see where they intersect with geek culture. A few years ago, a man in Florida Spider-Man: No Way Home It has been shown in theaters about 300 times and is now Deadpool and Wolverine It set a record. Two, in fact.
Blade’s surprise appearance in the film’s third act made Wesley Snipes the longest-tenured live-action Marvel actor, at 25 years and 340 days, beating Hugh Jackman, who was originally expected to take the crown from Patrick Stewart. Snipes first played Blade all the way back in 2007. Blade: Trinity, This also earned him another time record: 19 years and 231 days, making it the longest time between appearances of any character in a Marvel movie. like Deadpool and Wolverine Unlike the other guest characters, Blade’s appearance came as a shock to many, as aside from Mahershala Ali’s appearance (or the unfortunate lack thereof), Snipes seemed to have put his superhero life behind him, not to mention his rocky relationship with Ryan Reynolds during filming. The TrinityBut in an interview with Entertainment Weekly ahead of the film’s release, he revealed that it all started with a text message from Reynolds.
“It didn’t make sense to me,” he recalls, “but then 20 years later I suddenly get a call from Ryan and I’m like, ‘Right, I’ve got to take this call.'” […] He told me the idea… They said ‘yes’ and ‘OK’. ‘If you’re in, we’re in.’ It’s been tough keeping the news hidden and getting ready for any action. But he’s happy to be doing it again and excited to see what Ali ultimately brings to the table. “It takes a lot of secret sauce to do Blade. Good luck with that. But you’re my guy.”
