When people started hearing rumors about the amount of cameos and guest appearances; Deadpool and Wolverine, You can almost hear the engines revving up as debate rages over which films should remain after this one, and while Marvel doesn’t seem to have made any decisions one way or the other about any of its projects, that hasn’t stopped Ryan Reynolds from trying to bring in at least one of its big supporting cast members.
Reynolds recently took to Instagram to promote Wesley Snipes’ record-breaking return as Blade, writing, “His entrance into this film is the most intense thing I’ve ever heard in a theater. Hearing people scream with uncontrollable joy and love is an echo of legacy,” which is a huge, heartwarming moment in itself, considering their rocky relationship during filming. Blade TrinityHowever, things escalated when Reynolds yelled out, “More Blades please!” Logan –Especially “Style’s Farewell Party.” (Let’s be fair and assume that due to the billion-dollar box office success of this film, this farewell party doesn’t technically count anymore.)
Naturally, comments like this are causing a stir, especially considering Snipes quips in the film that “there’s only one Blade.” Marvel has been trying to create a new version of the character in the movies for five years, with Mahershala Ali set to take on the role and only ever being given one chance in a post-credits scene. Eternalssince then, blade The movie is over…I’m not feeling well, Marvel has been a flop, to say the least. The most recent setback was the departure of director Yann Demange in June. The movie is basically a walking joke, and a sign of how Marvel has lost steam since the Infinity Saga ended five years ago.
Putting it all together, well, the easiest thing to do would be to cast Snipes in an R-rated breakup movie. That would draw an audience, and I This would especially be the case if the fight scenes were set to the tune of Crystal Method’s “Name of the Game.” Deadpool and Wolverine There’s ample evidence that the idea can write and sell itself, and Marvel will no doubt be eager to add another nostalgia win to its belt. At the same time, it speaks volumes about the irony of telling people this should be standard procedure when a film where the joke has been on the co-lead actors reprising their iconic roles until they basically die is starting to take more hits than the studio would like. Focusing too heavily on one or more characters has been a thorn in both Fox and the MCU, and doing it again with Blade doesn’t seem ideal at all.
Similarly Star Wars, Marvel is currently trying to figure out how to pivot after a turbulent few years. blade A Snipes-directed movie can’t erase the baggage of the MCU movies, and it can’t make Ali and the rest of the cast and crew look like a bunch of fools. Can’t we just agree that Marvel should stop overcomplicating an action movie about a guy with a sword fighting vampires? Or, if we’re still going to stick with this multiverse business, why not just split the two versions into ” blade Kill two idiots with one stone?
