It would be pretty shocking to look up at the night sky and see Steve Harvey’s glowing face, but apparently that’s what happened to some people in Atlanta, and unsurprisingly, the internet loved it.
It all started with a tweet from David Dennis Jr., a senior writer at Andscape.
“Steve Harvey lights in the sky over Atlanta right now and I have no idea why,” Dennis Jr. tweeted a photo that has been viewed more than 7 million times so far.

Now, to be clear, Mashable has yet to officially confirm that this light show featuring a glowing Steve Harvey actually happened on Friday night, and the image of Dennis Jr. appears to be the only one that has been widely published on the Internet.
But for a few reasons, it seems more likely to be true. First, Dennis Jr. is a journalist for a reputable media outlet, and this Super weird Not a waste of reputation. 2: Reddit researchers pointed out that there was an event in Atlanta this weekend called Invest Fest, where Harvey appeared as a speaker. 3: The Invest Fest post includes a drone presentation, but no image of Harvey.
Whether true or not, the internet has made some great jokes.

So, thanks to drones, a giant, electric Steve Harvey has (probably) appeared in the Atlanta sky. There are good and bad things to be said about living in the future, but it’s certainly weird.
