Birds of prey are being killed across the UK by widespread misuse of rodenticides, and the problem is worsening despite the UK government’s prevention plans, according to a report by Wild Justice, a non-profit environmental group.
“The extent of the damage that the misuse of rat poison is causing to our wildlife is deeply worrying,” says broadcaster Chris Packham, co-director of Wild Justice. “Voluntary codes of conduct are completely useless. They just don’t work.”
